Hi all,
I did not want to hijack the Symphony Arpeggiator topic, so I am starting a new one.
Has any of you tried this function yet?
First off it seems that I can only use Mega voices for the Funk Guitar.
In my S-970 I can use any panel voice.
The results in the S-970 are great with a variety of styles.
I just can't get the same results with the Genos.
It just doesn't sound/work right. Especially at slightly faster tempo.
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Eric

Eric,

There is another thread strictly related to arpeggiators, maybe you could post your question over there.

I don't own or havn't owned a S-970. I'm sure it delivered the results your looking for. Generally I think it's not a bad idea for funky guitar patterns to use Mega Voices as they allow for the subtleties that make guitar strumming really funky. Nevertheless it would be great to have user arpeggios in the next firmware release. Is ist possible to export S-970 arpeggios? If yes, would be grerat to import them to the Genos.

On the Motif the User Arps are MIDI loops but has a proprietory format and file extension.  It might be possible to record the arps on the S970 or Genos for that matter and create variations.  A couple of the S970 Arps are controller arps that also have note data in them.  The Motif has an Arp Editor built-in... so if the rumor is true, then I would assume the Genos will also have an Arp Editor.  It would basically be a step sequencer and have the ability to add controller data as well as note data.

You can buy guitar loops and possibly convert them to Multi Pads for the Genos as well any other arranger model.
