How did the splitter go? Will you please listen and tell if it worked?

Hello friends :)
I run into a problem when I wanted to connect my Focusrite audio interfece to my T5, since the line outs were already occupied by the Tyros speakers. I got two mono splitters, so that I culld connect both the speakers and the interface at the same time. But I am not sure how it went soundwise. I have therefore made two recordings, and I aks you if you could please listen and comment.
The one called Romjulsdrøm is directly from the Tyros, no splitters. The one called Romjulsdrøm01 is with the splitters.
Thank you in advance :)

Hi Toril
I find no difference on my monitoring both through speakers and then headphones.

Hello friends :) I did one mistake when connecting the cables to the splitters; to get stereo effect I had to put one speaker cable in the left and one in the right socket of course, but I put them in the same splitter, and of course got only mono sound. Red face! Now I have stereo sound, and can use my Focusrite and the Tyros speakers at the same time. It can be done with just two mono splitters.
It may be that the sound would be even better with a mixer, but it worked for my purpuse. Learned something new. Thanks, friends :)

The second one is much more pleasant to the ears since it's in stereo.
I'm particularly 'allergic' to mono sound. We've come so far technology wise since 1920's when mono was the only way to record.
There's a lot of 'colour' that you're losing in capturing in mono. Yes, you have to deal with significantly bigger file as a result of stereo recoring, but the sound benefit is well worth it.
And I'm glad you figured a way out how to have your speakers on, and capture in stereo at the same time. Although using splitters may not be the best option if you're after the best possible results, but if that works for you and you're happy with it, I guess that's fine.

BTW, Happy new 2019!

Take care.

Thanks Valentin😀 Yes, I could hear at once that I had connected wrongly. I also got an allergic reaction to the mono sound😀😀
