Style Revoicer QUESTION for Jørgen

I have been opening up each Genos style using the Style Revoicer program in order to see what VOICE is used in each of the style parts. I then go to my S950 and listen to find a Voice that is comparable to the ones I am missing. This process is working great.

Here is my question: Can you fix the program so it will change the OCTAVE of the intros and endings? When I use the program, it will raise the OCTAVE of all the style parts and fill ins but it doesn't affect the intros or endings of the style.

I am finding that the DooWop/Jazz Scat and such voices all need to be raised an octave in order for me to replace them on my S950  with a regular voice. So far I have been silencing them during the intros and endings but you can hear them in all the styles Main parts.

Hi Drake

Sure this can be added as an extra feature.

If I read your message right you need an octave shift in intro and ending parts only.

Will -1 / 0 / +1 for these parts work?

Please mail me at js@jososoft.dk - then I will send you a download link when a beta version is ready...

I dont use PM's in forums, as I can not keep track of my conversations in the app. 20 forums I visit regulary.

That was fast! Don't you wish all software houses worked that quickly? :)

Well, to be honest, the first beta did not fix the problem completely... :(

The second beta was a bit better... Now working at beta 3...  ;)

The problem lies in octave shifting in Mega Voices.
The code logic must be very precise to avoid running in the "scratch and fret" note area.

Yes, when finished AND tested the software will be published...  :D

Hi

After a closer examination... and some more experimentation... and then some thinking as things did not work out as expected...

AHA.... YES.... it was a CASM setting causing the problem. Not my software program...  ;D

Problem: Too narrow "Note Limit Low" and "Note Limit High" settings... In this case the "High" value...

Read more at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/articles/high_low.htm

The case is closed...  ;)
