Hi Maestro H,

please answer these two questions first so I can help you:

- Are you on Windows or on macOS?

- Have you installed the latest Expansion Manager (YEM) version 2.6.0?

Best regards,
Chris

Thanks for your quick reply! This is a known problem that can occour sometimes.

In this case, the User folder of the YEM should be renamed (from "Expansion Manager" to e.g. "Expansion Manager OLD"). The next time the YEM is started, a new, empty user folder will be created.

The instrument info file (.n27) must then be re-imported into the YEM, and the login data for the Yamaha MusicSoft account must be re-entered on request.

Alternatively, you could COPY this data from the old to the new user folder.

The user folder is NOT in the YEM program folder. On macOS, I don't know the exact location of this user folder, because I'm currently only working with Windows.

I will try to find out this information and then I will contact you again.

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Maestro H,

on macOS, the User folder of the YEM usually is in your Library folder:

.../Library/Application Support/Yamaha/Expansion Manager

If the Library folder is hidden, please refer to this link:

>>> https://osxdaily.com/2016/12/12/show-user-library-folder-macos-sierra/

- Close the Expansion Manager app.

- Open the Finder and go to "Library/Application Support/Yamaha" folder.

- Rename the folder "Expansion Manager" to "Expansion Manager OLD".

- Start Expansion Manager app again. This automatically creates a new, empty user folder "Expansion Manager".

- Import your Instrument Info file (.n27) again to the YEM.

- Importing Packs should work correctly now.

As mentioned before, the instrument data and the MusicSoft login data could also be copied from the old "Expansion Manager" user folder (if you "know what you're doing" ;) )

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Chris
